The Importance of Your Profile Page:
Your Hub profile is the place peers, friends, and employers will come to find out more about you so it’s a good idea to offer your professional and creative sides. Hub members are highly optimized in search engines and are easy to find unless otherwise indicated in your privacy settings.
Here are some suggestions for the best optimization results:
Use your real name and location. This will help search engines.
Add a profile picture. Adding a personal touch encourages people to interact with you.
Look at the upper right corner in the box with your name. You will see the following icons: Inbox, Alerts, Friends, and Settings. Click on Settings. This will take you to an options page.
Here you will see your front page settings under Profile. You may change your picture, contact info, birthday, location, interests, website info, or any other personal details you may or may not wish to display on your profile page. Once you are done, click save.
Under Privacy you will see a list of options to make your profile as public or private as you like.
Email settings will allow you to choose how often you would like to be notified if someone comments on any of your posts or emails you. You may choose to receive daily or weekly summaries or not be sent emails at all.
My Page allows you to change your URL name as well as be directed to the customize appearance page. You will also be directed to the Apps page.
