A Message From Generation Y & X

Don’t worry DFL. Gen Y & X have the show now. OUR turn. You had your movement. It was beautiful! We all learned so much from it. We still are fighting it as some people are still bigots and we THANK you for that. You’re invited to our table, but we’re here to clean up some of the messes you DID leave behind for us. Thanks elders and establishment (BOTH parties, you’re BOTH guilty) for bailing out Wall Street, for forcing me to watch my peers get killed in wars that were wrong and based on lies, for forcing me to help pay for those wars that killed my peers, for conning me into helping you get elected over and over again with your phony promises of universal healthcare while ignoring the obvious of a public option, for the United States Patriot Act, for stealing elections, for lying about vetoing the NDAA, for trying to shove SOPA/PIPA down my throat like the nuns forced religion down my throat as a child, and for listening to SONY, GE, TIME WARNER, APPLE, MICROSOFT, LOCKHEED MARTIN, RAYTHEON, WALMART, BP, STARBUCKS, TARGET, US BANK, WELLS FARGO, WACHOVIA, the unlimited term limit United States Supreme Court Justices YOU continued to appoint despite MY input, etc. Let’s stop pretending you’ve been listening all these years or that our voices are heard. If you can’t help because your heads are in the sand, okay. If you are willing to help clean up the messes you left behind as you forgot about the sanitation team, THANK YOU! But now it’s OUR turn and we’re cleaning up your clutter that you left for us. Prior to this mess, you guys got to be the GODS of the world and we respected you and trusted you as our parents and grandparents. We understand people make mistakes. But now you just break even due to this mess you created for us as we struggle with enormous college loans and zero jobs that you with the money are too greedy to create for us; forcing us to create our own since you refuse to share.

I agree!  At minimum, term limits for United States Supreme Court Justices who are appointed.  I will admit I kind of did like the now deceased Senator Kennedy, but yes.  You should have been in the class I was at earlier today.  A few of my Occupy friends and I were guest lecturers at my dad's public policy on aging course, with a theme of "Occupy" for today.  It was fun!  By the way, I clicked on this site at some point during my lecture.  There are Livestream archives of it on our LIVESTREAM, but the sound got a bit garbled and only part of the course got Livestream.

Career politicians MUST be a thing of the past. None of them have honor.

It's all about solutions to existing problems. Washington has created so much debt, and they expect our generation to pick up the tab. The number to pay attention to is 545. 435 Representatives, 100 Senators, 9 Supreme Court Justices, and 1 Commander in Chief. The decisions that have lead us to this calamity have been made by those 545 people. Of course they are surrounded by influencers, but ultimately it is their vote that counts. We can blame Wall Street all day long, but it's Congress that sets the rules. My belief is that we need immediate term limits, elimination of life long pensions for public servants, and make the rules that apply to the people apply to the President, Congress, and Judges alike (inside trading ring a bell)...no exceptions.
