Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel spoke today at the UN General Assembly about Iran's development of nuclear power. With drawing pad and felt pen, he physically drew a red line on a bomb indicating the point at which Iran would achieve 90% weapons grade uranium- a mere 10% away from producing full nuclear weapons. He said that the Iranians are in stage two of a three stage process and estimated they could have a nuclear bomb as early as summer of 2013 if not preempted. Netanyahu called on the UN to stand behind Israel and place much tougher sanctions on Iran. While President Obama told the U.N. General Assembly that the US will "do what we must" to prevent Iran from having nukes, he set no clear time table for military action. Netanyahu did not reveal his military strategy if Israel was forced to go it alone, but he did declare that Israel would NOT attack Iran prior to the Presidential election.
Hmmm... What do you think the strategy was behind that message?
